Update from the Pro Shop June 2019
I would like to thank everyone for his or her generous donation of balls over the last few weeks! It is greatly appreciated.
It is with great pleasure that I welcome Tom back to Castlecove in a full time capacity. Tom has completed his studies up on the Gold Coast with the IGI. With his experience from that and his recent role at Monash Tom is looking forward to stepping up and putting into practise all that he has learnt.
In the coming weeks we will be sending out a survey asking the members to let us know how as a club we can improve but also what we are doing right. We really want to make our club one to be truly proud of. So please take the time to help us do that.
We will be having a Winter Twilight event on the 21stJuly. It will be a shotgun start at 2pm with dinner in the Castle Bar after the round. The event will be a 2bbb Stableford with Secret Partners. You can play with whomever you like, however once everyone has teed off we will be mixing up the pairings so you wont know who/what your 2ball score is until I announce the winners at dinner! Fun huh!!!! Watch out for a flyer soon!
Rakes in bunkers, should they be left in or out of the bunker…..a debate as old as time! I have my opinion, which as we all know is the correct one! In a recent incident at the course a rake was damaged, perhaps by being left out of the bunker was run over by a cart, the details are unclear. What is clear is that a member of the public grabbed the rake unaware it was damaged and received a hefty splinter that went straight through his finger and required every skill have acquired watching all 12 seasons of Greys Anatomy to remove. SO….. all rakes are to be left IN the bunker after use on the bottom of the bunker running in the same direction as the hole.
Membership renewals have be sent out and this is just a friendly reminder that they are due by the 1stJuly. If you wish to pay by the month you are more than welcome to do so. I can alter your invoice, which shows the monthly amount including the 5% surcharge. This can be done through your own internet banking. Please don’t hesitate to ask me if you are interested in this option.
