Following the NSW Premier’s announcement last Sunday on a “stage 1” limited level of relaxations in relation to Covid19 restrictions, and after advice from Golf NSW, we are pleased to advise that it is our intention to revert as of Saturday 16th of May to playing in groups of 4.
This is subject to the issue of the expected public order amendments and updated directives issued by the NSW Office of Sport, which are expected in the next day or so.
Whilst this is a welcome relief, it is the only relaxation of the regulations that relate to our golf course and club.
We must still maintain social distancing, staying 1.5m away from other people. The flagstick is to remain in the hole at all times, preferred lies in the bunkers as we can’t have rakes, there is still only 1 person 1 bag on a motorised golf Cart and you are still required to return the scorecard you marked to the proshop at the completion of your round.
Please log in to the members home page and double check your tee times for any competitions you have entered, particularly as it relates to existing bookings, as we have merged groups where possible/appropriate. Alternatively, you can call the Pro Shop and we will be more than happy to help you.
In relation to the intended relaxation of cafes and restaurants as part of the stage 1 changes, we have been advised and we should point out that Castle Cove Golf Club is a registered club and as such does not fall into the same category as independent cafes and restaurants. What this means is that the Castle Bar will not reopen until later in the government’s staged framework for a COVIDSAFE Australia.
I would again like to thank all members for their co operation and understanding during this time at the club.
