Good afternoon Members,

I wanted to send you all an email to update you on a few important points, of few of these matters will be reiterated in the newsletter coming out in the following weeks.

Castle Cove Golf Club now has 2 QR codes.

1 outside the Proshop for anyone that is playing on the golf course. If you are playing in a competition, your name on the timesheet is sufficient and you do not have to scan.

However, if you are playing socially then you are required to scan the code.

The 2nd one is in the Castle Bar and again, each person that enters that area has to scan that QR code.

We have introduced a second code for the course, so we are able to contact trace people that have been on the course, but not necessarily in the Castle Bar.

My reasoning behind having the 2 separate codes is so that next week, we can reintroduce the bubblers and ball washers on the course, confident in knowing who is on the course at any given time and being able to trace those people if there happens to be a case of COVID.

Commencing Tuesday 24th November, we will also be allowing players to remove the flag however you MUST use a towel when touching the flagstick. Using your gloved hand will be unacceptable.

I would like to thank everyone in advance for your co-operation and understanding with this matter. The Board and I are doing everything we can to get golf back to ‘usual’ whilst being COVID safe and adhering to the government guidelines and requirements.
